Hello! I’m Chasity Barber, a macro and nature photographer dedicated to revealing the extraordinary beauty hidden in the ordinary world around us.
While others might walk past a garden without a second glance, I see entire universes waiting to be discovered—the intricate veins of a leaf, the iridescent shimmer on a beetle’s shell, the way morning light transforms a simple spiderweb into a masterpiece. My camera is my tool for slowing down time and inviting others to see what they’ve been missing.
My Journey
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Photography from Southern New Hampshire University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. But my real education has come from countless hours spent in the field, lying on the ground to capture the perfect angle of a wildflower, or waiting patiently for a butterfly to land just so. Photography taught me patience, attention to detail, and a profound respect for the natural world.
My Approach
Every photograph I take is an attempt to immortalize a feeling—the wonder of discovering something new, the peace of being present in nature, the awe of recognizing perfection in the smallest details. Whether I’m photographing the delicate structure of a frost crystal or the weathered beauty of ancient bark, I’m always searching for that emotional connection that transforms a simple image into something timeless.
